The Pipit menu bar icon gives you instant access to your clipboard history and past transcriptions without opening the main app window.

Accessing the Popover

Click the Pipit icon in your macOS menu bar (top-right, near the clock) to view your transcription and clipboard history. Option-click to open the main app window. The menu bar popover displays:
  • Clipboard History — Quick access to recent clipboard items
  • Transcriptions — View past transcriptions and reuse them
  • Search — Find specific items by text or date
  • Clear History — Remove clipboard and transcription data

Permission Indicator

The menu bar icon shows an orange tint when Accessibility permission is missing. Grant permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility to restore full functionality.

Always Available

Pipit runs entirely from the menu bar. The main window can stay closed while you dictate, access history, and manage clipboard content — perfect for a streamlined workflow.
