Pipit automatically copies each transcription to your clipboard, making it easy to paste anywhere. You can also paste your last transcription with a handy shortcut.
Automatic Clipboard
Every transcription is copied to the clipboard automatically after processing. Simply press Cmd+V in any app to paste.
Quick Paste Shortcut
Paste your last transcription anywhere using Cmd+Ctrl+V — Pipit inserts the text without overwriting your current clipboard contents.
Clipboard History
The menu bar popover includes a Clipboard tab showing your clipboard history:
- Text content — Plain text and rich text (RTF)
- Images — Copied images are stored temporarily
- Quick actions — Copy again or delete
History is automatically pruned to keep things fast, but your most recent clips are always available.
Settings
Configure clipboard behavior in Settings → General:
- Auto-copy transcriptions — Toggle automatic clipboard copy
- Restore clipboard after paste — Preserve your original clipboard
