Configure global hotkeys for Pipit

Default Hotkey

Pipit’s default hotkey is the Right Option key. Press and hold to record, release to transcribe.

Changing the Hotkey

1. Open Settings

   Click the Pipit menu bar icon then Settings
2. Navigate

   Go to the Hotkeys tab
3. Record

   Click the hotkey display, press your desired key, then Save

Supported Hotkeys

Pipit supports single modifier keys: Option, Control, Shift, Command, and Fn.

Hold to record, release to stop and transcribe.

Hotkeys require Accessibility permission. Enable it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
