# Clipboard Integration

> Copy and paste transcribed text seamlessly

Pipit automatically copies each transcription to your clipboard, making it easy to paste anywhere. You can also paste your last transcription with a handy shortcut.

## Automatic Clipboard

Every transcription is copied to the clipboard automatically after processing. Simply press `Cmd+V` in any app to paste.

## Quick Paste Shortcut

Paste your last transcription anywhere using **Cmd+Ctrl+V** — Pipit inserts the text without overwriting your current clipboard contents.

## Clipboard History

The menu bar popover includes a Clipboard tab showing your clipboard history:

* **Text content** — Plain text and rich text (RTF)
* **Images** — Copied images are stored temporarily
* **Quick actions** — Copy again or delete

  History is automatically pruned to keep things fast, but your most recent clips are always available.

## Settings

Configure clipboard behavior in **Settings → General**:

* **Auto-copy transcriptions** — Toggle automatic clipboard copy
* **Restore clipboard after paste** — Preserve your original clipboard
